2019 Belt Football Preview

Leo Goldman SWX
Week one of high school football is fast approaching and today we take a look at another team that’s looking to build off of 2018. After going just three and five in 2018, the Belt Huskies hit the ground running this summer to try and make sure that last year stayed in the past. Unfortunately, they may have hit the ground too hard, because on Friday, starting quarterback Hunter Vogl suffered an elbow injury that will likely sideline him for an extended period of time. But Vogl has confidence that even if he is out longer than expected, he knows his teammates will step up and help fill the void. “Me and Coach Graham have talked all season about how these freshmen and sophomores are playing, and they have to step up. Somebody’s going to step up and show Coach Graham that they want to play.” With the huskies first game less than a week away against Absarokee, Coach Jeff Graham likes what he’s seeing out of this year’s team, and says this team is doing all the little things right. “They’re the nicest group of kids to be around, they’re fun, show up early before school starts and they’re out here half hour early in the sense of humor is great, great group of kids to mess around with.”
