Man faces DUI charge after nearly causing collision at crash scene
The Washington State Patrol arrested a second intoxicated man who tried to bypass police cars and drive into the scene of an unrelated crash at Division Street and Magnesium Road Sunday night.
Just before 7 p.m. Spokane police were investigating a two-car crash that sent one person to the hospital.
One lane of the intersection was closed and patrol cars with overhead lights blocked the streets. A car headed west on Magnesium Road drove around the police cars and continued toward the crash scene, Spokane police said in a news release.
An officer pulled in front of the car to stop them from driving into the scene which almost led to another crash, Spokane police said.
WSP was called to the scene help with the driver, whose name was not released. The man was arrested on a charge of DUI, police said.
