Spokane woman dies Sunday in crash on icy roads near Deary, Idaho

A Spokane woman died after her car went off the road and rolled twice due to icy conditions near Deary, Idaho.

Carol Carkuff, 74, was at the junction of State Highway 8 and 9 at about 9:30 a.m. Sunday when she lost control because of icy conditions, according to the Idaho State Patrol. Her car rolled twice and Carkuff was ejected from her SUV.

She was taken to Gritman Medical Center in Moscow where she died.

The Idaho State Patrol’s investigation is ongoing.
