Boys basketball: Tru Allen scores 24 points as Clarkston clinches Great Northern league title

Tru Allen scored 24 points and Brandton Chatfield added 15 and Clarkston (12-7, 9-2) beat visiting West Valley (12-7, 5-6) 62-53 on Friday to clinch the Great Northern league title. Nick Drynan led West Valley with 17 points.

Pullman 63, Cheney 49: Jacob Wells scord 31 points and the Greyhounds (1-4, 8-4) defeated the visiting Blackhawks (11-8, 6-5). Kaiden Custer led Cheney with 14 points. Ethan Kramer added 12 points for Pullman.

NE 2B

Wilbur-Creston 53, Davenport 33: Kasen Bodeau scored 19 points and the Wildcats (6-10, 2-8) defeated the visiting Gorillas (4-16, 2-7). AJ Floyd led Davenport with six points. Brayden Seylor scored 14 points and Connor Dreger added 13 points for Wilbur-Creston.

Chewelah 55, Northwest Christian 44: Nicholas Franks scored 17 points and the Cougars (10-10, 5-5) beat the visiting Crusaders (14-6, 7-3). Reed Loranger led Northwest Christian with 18 points. Jaron Baldwin (12) and Carl Oman (11) scored double digits for Chewelah.

St. George’s 87, Kettle Falls 49: Erik Farias had 26 points, 11 assists and five steals to lead the Dragons (18-2, 10-0) past the visiting Bulldogs (9-11, 4-6). Xander Werkman 18 points with 15 rebounds and Ben Adams 16 points for St. George’s. Matt Thompson scored 15 points and Charlie Andrews 12 for Kettle Falls.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 49, Reardan 46: Spencer Gering scored 12 points and the visiting Broncos (19-12, 10-4) defeated the Indians (9-11, 2-8). Andrew Alsept and Tyler Sprecher led Reardan with 16 points apiece.

Colfax 58, Liberty 44: Carson Cloaninger scored 22 points and the visiting Bulldogs (16-4, 9-1) topped the Lancers (12-8, 7-3). Bryan Rubin added 12 points for Colfax. Tayshawn Colvin and Van Ricker scored 11 points apiece for Liberty.

Oakesdale 77, St. John-Endicott/ LaCrosse 34: Kieron Anderson scored 23 points and the visiting Nighthawks (13-6, 10-1) beat the Eagles (2-17, 1-10). Jaden Danielson and Ty Harder led St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse with nine points apiece.

Garfield-Palouse 60, Pomeroy 45: Austin Jones scored 13 points and the Vikings (12-7, 10-1) beat the visiting Pirates (8-10, 5-6). Jace Gwinn led Pomeroy with 17 points. Ely Hawkins scored 12 points and Blake Jones and Tanner Anderson scored 11 each for Garfield-Palouse.

Genesis Prep 62, Kootenai 31: Kon Ajang scored 20 points and the Jaguars (10-8, 5-0) beat the visiting Warriors (9-5, 4-4). Scott Mwinuka scored 12 points, Josh Bohannan 11 and Johnny Hillman 10 for Genesis Prep.
