Two Men and a Truck

opens in Spokane Valley

Two Men and a Truck, a national moving franchise, has opened a Spokane Valley location at 111 N. Vista Road.

Jones is a Boise native who started his career with Two Men and a Truck in Southern Idaho.

The company, headquartered in Michigan, has operations in 43 states, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Hardware stores help fund children’s hospital remodel

Inland Northwest Ace Hardware stores have pledged $1 million to help renovate the pediatric unit at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane.

Much of this funding will come directly from customers rounding up their purchases at cash registers.

“We are thrilled to partner with Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital to help advance children’s health in our region,” Dawn Gregg, owner of Ash & Rowan Ace Hardware and Ace on Francis stores in Spokane, said in a news release. “It wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our customers, who understand how important it is to have a world-class children’s hospital serving our community.”

The remodel is underway on the third-floor general pediatrics unit, which was the first pediatric area to open at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in 2003. Upgrades are to include common family areas, a new nursing station, a new nurse call system for each room and portable blood pressure machines.
