PotlatchDeltic reports lower 4Q income

PotlatchDeltic Corp. reported lower fourth-quarter income, citing charges related to tax legislation and the merger with Deltic Timber Corp.

The Spokane-based company reported net income of $1.8 million for the fourth quarter, or 3 cents per share. For the fourth quarter of 2017, net income was $11.6 million, or 28 cents per share.

Net income for the full year was $122.9 million, or $1.99 per share, compared to 2017 net income of $86.5 million, or $2.10 per share.

Mike Covey, chairman and CEO, cited the completion of the Deltic merger among the company’s 2018 accomplishments.
