College, high school students to compete in cybersecurity contest at Gonzaga
Area college and high school students will take on cybersecurity challenges Saturday during a compeition organized by Gonzaga University senior and computer science major Max Dulin.
Teams will try to breach each other’s security systems while protecting a data file. Cybersecurity professionals from Intrinium, Risk Lens, Gravwell, Cisco and the Spokane Chapter of Community Security Coalition will act as judges.
Students from Gonzaga, Eastern Washington University, North Idaho College, Whitworth University, Spokane Falls Community College, Lewis-Clark State College and three area high schools will compete.
The event begins at 9 a.m. at Gonzaga’s PACCAR Center for Applied Science, Room 107. Closing ceremonies are at 5:45 p.m.
