Beck, Cage the Elephant announce co-headlining show at the Gorge

UPDATED: Mon., Feb. 11, 2019, 5:07 p.m.

Fresh off a couple of wins at the 61st Grammy Awards on Sunday night, Beck has announced a return engagement to the Gorge Amphitheater in George this summer.

Beck and Cage the Elephant teamed up for “Night Running,” on the latter’s upcoming album, “Social Cues,” and now the two acts are teaming up for the “Night Running” tour, which includes a July 13 concert at the Gorge Amphitheatre.

The show will also feature performances from Spoon and Starcrawler. It’s Beck’s first appearance at the Gorge since he played Sasquatch in 2012.

General admission tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at www.livenation.com

Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets from noon Tuesday to 10 p.m. Thursday through Citi’s Private Pass program.

For complete presale details, visit www.citiprivatepass.com.

It’s been a big year for Beck already. His latest album, 2017’s “Colors,” earned Grammys for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical during Sunday’s ceremony.

His song “Tarantula” was included on “Music Inspired by the Film ‘Roma’ ” and his “Super Cool,” featuring the Lonely Island, can be heard in “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part.”

Tourmates Cage the Elephant are gearing up to have a big year of their own. The band’s fifth studio album “Social Cues” will be released on April 19.

If you needed yet another incentive to buy a ticket, Beck and Cage the Elephant, in partnership with PLUS1, are donating one dollar from every ticket sold to the “Night Running” tour to local food banks and organizations working to end hunger in the communities in which they’re performing.
