Girls basketball: St. George’s, Liberty advance to 2B district title game

District 7 2B at West Valley

St. George’s 50, Davenport 49 (OT): Lydia Bergquist had 16 points, 23 rebounds and 10 blocks and the Dragons (14-9) edged the No. 4-ranked Gorillas (18-4) in a semifinal.

St. George’s plays Liberty in the district title game on Saturday.

Davenport faces a loser-out on Friday. Darby Soliday led Davenport with 14 points.

Liberty 56, Colfax 52: The No. 6-ranked Lancers (21-2) edged the Bulldogs (13-10) in a semifinal.

Colfax plays in a loser-out on Friday.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 59, Asotin 31: The Broncos (11-11) handled the Panthers (2-19) in a loser-out.

LRS plays in a loser-out on Thursday.

District 7 1B at Deer Park HS

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 76, Wellpinit 33: Sarah Bradshaw scored 21 points and the No. 4-ranked Warriors (20-1) handled the Indians (15-6) in a semifinal.

ACH faces Selkirk in the district title game on Saturday. Amelia Seyler had 12 points for Wellpinit, which plays Odessa in a loser-out game on Wednesday.

Selkirk 59, Inchelium 43: Jenna Couch scored 24 points, Bree Dawson added 17 and the Rangers (14-8) downed the Hornets (14-8) in a semifinal.

Inchelium faces Curlew in a loser-out game on Wednesday. Meika Heath led Inchelium with 17 points.

Curlew 53, Northport 33: The Cougars (12-7) eliminated the Mustangs (9-12) in a loser-out.
