Area roundup: North Idaho men, women sweep Wenatchee Valley

Alphonso Anderson scored 21 points and North Idaho defeated visiting Wenatchee Valley 114-84 on Wednesday in a Northwest Athletic Conference men’s basketball game.

RayQuan Evans, Nate Pryor and Emmitt Taylor added 17 points apiece for the Cardinals (21-2, 10-0).

Malik Parsons led the Knights (12-9, 4-6) with 28 points.

NIC hosts Blue Mountain on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Women’s basketball

North Idaho 73, Wenatchee Valley 68: Alex Carlton scored 21 points and the Cardinals (17-6, 7-4 NWAC) beat the visiting Knights (20-4, 9-2).

Ashlynn Burgess led Wenatchee Valley with 25 points.

NIC hosts Blue Mountain on Saturday at 2 p.m.

  • Community Colleges of Spokane postponed its scheduled home doubleheader against Columbia Basin. No makeup date was announced.
