Girls basketball: Clarkston overcomes East Valley in 2A district title game

Ashlyn Wallace scored 34 points and visiting Clarkston (21-2) battled from a fourth quarter hole and two overtime periods to edge East Valley (18-3) in the District 7 2A championship game on Wednesday.

Down nine at the half and 11 after three, Clarkston tied the game in the final minute of regulation. AJ Sobotta added 14 points and Mickayla Jackson 12 for Clarkston.

Faith Adams led East Valley with 21 points. Hannah Rowland and Brie Holecek chipped in with 15 apiece and Genesis Wilkinson added 13.

District 7 1A

Freeman 56, Medical Lake 45: Ellis Crowley scored 21 points and the Scotties (17-5) beat the Cardinals (16-6) in the title game at West Valley HS.

Jordyn Goldsmith added 11 points for Freeman while Jessica Lohman led Medical Lake with 21.

The Cardinals face Caribou Trail League No. 2 seed in a crossover on on Saturday.

Deer Park 45, Colville 32: JoLee Bunch scored 14 points and the Stags (17-6) eliminated the Indians (12-11) in the third-place game.

Deer Park plays CTL No. 1 Cashmere in a crossover game on Saturday.

Hallie Cox led Colville with 19 points.

District 7 2B

Reardan 46, Wilbur-Creston 22: Kimberly Dewey and Emma Wiedmer scored 11 points apiece and the Indians (11-11) eliminated the Wildcats (5-15) at Davenport HS.

Ayden Krupke added 10 points for Reardan, which led 33-8 at the half. Reardan plays Lind-Ritzville/Sprague in a loser-out on Thursday.

Mackenzie Arden led W-C with 11 points.

District 7 1B

Wellpinit 61, Odessa 38: Christina Flett scored 18 points and the Redskins (16-6) eliminated the Tigers (7-15) at Deer Park HS.

Ashlynn Hill added 12 points for Wellpinit, which faces Inchelium in the district third-place game on Saturday.

Ashlyn Neilsen led Odessa with 10 points.

Inchelium 57, Curlew 52: Rylee Desautel scored 22 points and the Hornets (15-8) eliminated the Cougars (12-8).

Korin Baker scored 32 points for Curlew.
