Post Falls woman dies in Friday night crash near Post Falls

A Post Falls woman died in a crash near Post Falls on Friday night and police are investigating the cause of the crash, according to a news release from the Idaho State Police.

Olga O. Burchett, 58, was driving a 2008 Suzuki SX4 east on Seltice Way, west of Silkwood Drive near Post Falls about 6:40 p.m. She lost control and entered the westbound lane. Michelle D. Tibbets, 37, of Newman Lake, Washington, was driving westbound and hit the passenger side of Burchett’s car, the news release said.

Burchett died at the scene, and Tibbets and a passenger in her car were taken to Kootenai Health, the news release said.
