Oust Catholic hypocrites

Thank you, Bishop Daly. As a lifelong Catholic I have waited for decades for a Catholic religious leader to find steel in his spine and remind Catholic politicians of their moral responsibility. Roe v. Wade was the most significant Supreme Court assault on human dignity since the heinous Dred Scott case.

Catholic politicians like to “split hairs” in defending their pro-choice positions. The most common defense is that the fetus is not really human until birth. Wrong! At conception the fetus’s nature is human; at six weeks heartbeats can be measured; at seven weeks gender identification can be made.

If the quotes from Ben Stuckart and Karen Stratton are accurate, then the Spokane people better start looking for new political leadership. Such Catholic hypocrites as these do not deserve to be voted into public office. Governor Cuomo, another Catholic hypocrite, has thrown the gauntlet down with what some critics call his infanticide legislation. Spokane Catholics need to stand up and remember their moral obligations.
