Deputies search for Sunday Chattaroy gas station robbery suspect

Deputies are asking for the community’s help in identifying the suspect from an alleged gas station market robbery Sunday night in Chattaroy, who was caught on camera.

At about 8:50 p.m., at the Chattaroy Quick Stop-Conoco at 28312 N. Newport Hwy., the man reportedly brandished a knife and demanded money from the clerk, according to a news release from the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect grabbed the money, left the store, got into a gray SUV and drove away.

The suspect is a white male, with dark black or brown hair. He stands about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 190 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with two light-colored stripes on the hood, blue jeans and dark gloves.
