Boys regionals: Jake Wells scores 17 points to lead Pullman to regional win over Burlington-Edison

Pullman 69, Burlington-Edison 68 (OT): Jake Wells scored 17 points, Ethan Kramer added 16 and the fifth-seeded Greyhounds (19-5) beat the fourth-seeded Tigers (19-6) in a 2A state regional at Everett CC on Saturday.

Pullman plays in a state second-round game on Thursday at the SunDome.

La Center 63, Deer Park 46: Avery Seter scored 17 points and the second-seeded Wildcats (22-2) topped the seventh-seeded Stags (20-3) in a 1A state regional at Battle Ground HS.

Deer Park faces a state first-round loser-out on Wednesday. Jobie Gelder led the Stags with 23 points.

St. George’s 79, Willapa Valley 44: Xander Werkman scored 17 points and the third-seeded Dragons (22-2) defeated the sixth-seeded Vikings (19-6) in a 2B state regional at West Valley HS.

St. George’s plays in a state second-round game on Thursday at the Arena.

Dan Rigsby scored 15 points, Ben Adams scored 13 points and Erik Farias added 11 points for the Dragons. Logan Walker led Willapa Valley with 13 points.

Liberty 84, White Swan 45: Tayshawn Colvin scored 24 points, Jacob Holling added 20 and the ninth-seeded Lancers (15-9) beat the 16th-seeded Cougars (11-14) in a 2B state regional loser-out at University HS.

Isaak Ottmar had 16 points and 12 rebounds for Liberty, which advances to a state first-round loser-out on Wednesday at the Arena.

Garfield-Palouse 69, Lopez Island 36: Tanner Anderson scored 14 points and the ninth-seeded Vikings (17-8) eliminated the 16th-seeded Lobos (9-14) in a 1B state regional loser-out at West Valley HS.

Gar-Pal advances to a state first-round loser-out on Wednesday at the Arena.

Oakesdale 51, Concordia Christian Academy 41: The 12th-seeded Nighthawks (17-7) eliminated the 13th-seeded Hawks (16-10) in a 1B state regional loser-out at West Valley HS.

Oakesdale advances to a state first-round loser-out on Wednesday at the Arena.
