Sullivan, Johnston and Nick Nyquist homered in the second game but Northridge came up with a nine-run fifth inning to overcome a 6-2 Gonzaga lead and added two-run innings in the sixth and seven to weather a Bulldogs rally in the seventh and eighth.

In the opener, Gonzaga scored three run in the first but the Matadors (5-3) came back with three runs in the second and third innings.
