Area roundup: North Idaho men rout Columbia Basin to complete unbeaten run through East Region play

Nate Pryor scored 28 points on 13-of-19 shooting as North Idaho thumped Columbia Basin 125-76 on Wednesday in Pasco, completing an unbeaten run through Northwest Athletic Conference East Region play.

Emmitt Taylor added 19 points off the bench for the Cardinals (27-2, 16-0 East Region), and RayQuan Evans added 15 points and four assists. North Idaho will learn its draw for the NWAC Tournament on Sunday, with the Sweet 16 taking place on March 7.

Gabe Vorheis paced the Hawks (5-22, 2-13) with 17 points, and Kaden Hassett added 14.

Columbia Basin women 67, North Idaho 60: Ali Martineau scored 22 points as the Hawks (14-13, 5-10) used balanced scoring to hold off the Cardinals (14-13, 5-10) in Pasco.

Three other Columbia Basin players scored in double figures. Heidi Sellman paced NIC with 20 points.

CC Spokane postponed

Spokane’s doubleheader against Blue Mountain was postponed by poor travel conditions. The games have been moved to moved to Thursday at Spokane Falls Community College, with the women’s game at 5:30 p.m, followed by the men’s game.
