Tue., Jan. 8, 2019
Spokane police arrested a man Monday on suspicion of lighting a car on fire in north Spokane.
Zackary A. Fields, 29, is facing one count of second-degree arson. His bond was set at $30,000.
Fields allegedly set a car on fire at North Post Street and West Cora Avenue on Monday, according to a news release from the Spokane Police Department. A witness called police and gave a description and license plate number of the car that drove away from the fire.
Police later pulled over a car matching the description near South Canon Street and West Sunset Boulevard, and Fields was driving it, according to the release. Fields was arrested after police questioned him, the release said.
Investigators are seeking a connection between Fields and the victim of the fire. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233 and use reference No. 2019-20003714.
