Area roundup: Violet Kapri Morrow hits milestone as Eagles down Griz

Violet Kapri Morrow scored 17 points, surpassing the 1,000-point career mark, as Eastern Washington held off Montana 68-62 Thursday night in Big Sky action in Missoula.
Grace Kirscher scored 15 points and matched Morrow’s team-high seven rebounds. Andie Easley had 15 points, Alissa Sealby 11 for the Eagles (3-11, 2-3). Morrow has 1,010 points.
Gabi Harrington had 18 points and nine rebounds, Jace Henderson 12 points and 17 boards for the Griz (8-6, 3-2).
Idaho 82, Montana State 66: Taylor Pierce hit eight of 19 3-pointers and scored 28 points and Mikayla Ferenz was six of 15 from behind the arc and added 24 points as the Vandals improved to 7-7, 4-1 in Big Sky play, in Bozeman.
Blaire Braxton’s 18 points and eight rebounds paced the Bobcats (8-7, 3-2).
