Boys basketball: Nick Drynan scores 24 points to help West Valley top East Valley

Great Northern

West Valley 64, East Valley 52: Nick Drynan scored 24 points and the Eagles (10-3, 3-2) defeated the visiting Knights (2-12, 0-6). Jackson Kaiser scored 15 points and Bryan Andrews added 12 for West Valley. Tyrell Brown led East Valley with 19 points while CJ Frogge added 11 points and Tyler Holmes had 10.

Clarkston 62, Pullman 43: Gus Hagstead and Brandton Chatfield scored 16 points apiece to help the visiting Bantams (6-7, 4-2) knock the Greyhounds (12-1, 5-1) from the list of undefeated teams in the state. Tru Allen added 15 points for Clarkston. Jacob Wells scored 17 points and Isaiah Strong had 11 for Pullman, which entered play rated No. 2 in state 2A by the WIAA RPI system.

Cheney 78, Lakeland 65: Camden VerStrate scored 20 points, Devin Cook added 19 and the Blackhawks (6-6) defeated the visiting Hawks (4-8) in a nonleague game. Josiah Haaland led Lakeland with 22 points, Jalen Skalskiy added 11 points and Carson Seay had 10. Jake Berman scored 12 points for Cheney.

Northeast A

Deer Park 62, Lakeside (WA) 52: Isaac Burglund scored 21 points and the Stags (14-0, 6-0) defeated the visiting Eagles (9-5, 4-2). Crosby Geisa led Lakeside with 11 points.

Freeman 50, Medical Lake 48: Kaleb Ohler scored 15 points with five 3-pointers, Payson Phelps added 15 and the Scotties (6-8, 3-3) edged the Cardinals (4-9, 2-4). Garren Garza led Medical Lake with 14 points.

Newport 78, Riverside 42: Tug Smith had 21 points and the Grizzlies (11-1, 5-1) beat the visiting Rams (4-10, 0-6). Jaxon Betker led Riverside with 10 points. Danny Bradbury added 12 points for Newport.

Northeast 2B

St. George’s 76, Chewelah 42: Ben Adams scored 22 points, Xander Werkman added 18 and the visiting Dragons (11-2, 4-0) beat the Cougars (6-8, 0-3). Johnny Larson, Jaron Baldwin and Jake George led Chewelah with eight points apiece.

Colfax 75, Reardan 41: Carson Cloaninger scored 19 points and the Bulldgos (10-3, 4-0) defeated the visiting Indians (6-6, 1-3). Bryan Rubin added 12 points and Cameron Hiatt scored 10 points for Colfax. Tyler Sprecher led Reardan with 16 points.

Davenport 55, Kettle Falls 52: A.J. Floyd scored 16 points to lead the Gorillas (4-8, 2-4) over the visiting Bulldogs (7-7, 2-2). William Waters added 13 points for Davenport. Matt Thompson scored 24 points and Charlie Andrew added 20 points for Kettle Falls.

Liberty 67, Asotin 56: Isaak Ottmar scored 23 points and the Lancers (7-6, 3-1) defeated the visiting Panthers (8-6, 0-4). Jace Aldous led Asotin with 13 points, Jacob Elskamp scored 12 points and Eli Engledown had 10. Jon Denny scored 15 points for Liberty and Jacob Holling added 11.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 78, Tekoa-Rosalia 47: Bryce Kelly scored 21 points with five 3-pointers, Austin Thompson added 17 points with five 3-pointers and the Broncos (5-7, 2-2) beat the visiting Timberwolves (10-3, 3-2). Garrett Naught led Tekoa-Rosalia with 16 points and Craig Mueller added 10.

Northwest Christian 78, Wilbur-Creston 36: Eckahelo Simpson, Jake Gray, Jacob Lawrence and Brian Mackenzie scored 12 points apiece and the Crusaders (9-4, 3-1) defeated the visiting Wildcats (4-6, 0-4). Brayden Seylor led Wilbur-Creston with 11 points. Reed Loranger added 11 points for Northwest Christian.

Northeast 1B

Selkirk 67, Columbia 44: Ryan Zimmerman scored 17 points and the Rangers (8-6, 6-1) defeated the visiting Lions (2-10, 0-5). Jay Link added 16 points and Zech Curran 11 for Selkirk. Corbin Nelson scored 16 points and Ryan Reynolds had 10 for Columbia.

Odessa 89, Cusick 56: Ryan Moffet scored 27 points, Marcus King added 22 points with 12 rebounds and the visiting Tigers (10-0) beat the Panthers (8-4). Jett Nelson added 13 points for Odessa. Colton Seymour led Cusick with 24 points and Devin BrownEagle added 11.

Inchelium 72, Valley Christian 59: Lonnie Simpson Jr. scored 19 points to lead the Hornets (7-4, 5-1) over the visiting Panthers (6-6, 2-4). Jacob Flett and Robert McKinney added 14 points apiece and Damion DeLaCruz scored 13 points for Inchelium. Sam Reese scored 19 points to lead Valley Christian.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 75, Republic 12: Reece Isaak scored 16 points and the visiting Warriors (8-3) beat the Tigers (0-12) on Friday. Parker Roberts and Maguire Isaak added 12 points apiece for Almira/Coulee-Hartline.

Wellpinit 76, Northport 40: Brendan Andrew scored 15 points and the visiting Redskins (5-8, 3-3) topped the Mustangs (1-12, 1-7). Gabe Salinas-Kieffer scored 12 points while Kobe Stearns and Aidan Wynne 11 points apiece for Wellpinit. Trenton Baribault scored 18 points and Jacob Corcoran had 10 for Northport.

Southeast 1B

Garfield-Palouse 46, Oakesdale 34: Blake Jones scored 14 points and the Vikings (8-5, 6-0) defeated the Nighthawks (8-5, 5-1). Tanner Anderson added 10 points for Garfield-Palouse while Evan Henning led Oakesdale with nine points.

Prescott 64, Colton 43: Jonathan Cardenas scored 26 points and the Tigers (10-3, 4-2) beat the visiting Wildcats (7-7, 3-3). Jose Gonzalez had 13 points and Fernando Lopez added 12 for Prescott. Parker Druffel led Colton with 16 points and Reese Chadwick added 10.

St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 47, Touchet 42: Owen Swannack scored 13 points, Kameron Greenhalgh added 12 and the visiting Eagles (2-11, 1-6) beat the Indians (1-8, 1-5). Joe Jagger led Touchet with 16 points.

Idaho

Coeur d’Alene 60, Lake City 31: Drew Hostetter scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, and the Vikings (9-3, 1-0) beat the visiting Timberwolves (2-10, 0-1). Jack Kiesbuy led all scorers with 22 points for Lake City.

Post Falls 65, Lewiston 58: Colby Gennett scored 23 points to lead the visiting Trojans (10-6, 1-0) over the Bengals (4-7, 0-1) on Friday. Cole Rutherford added 16 points for Post Falls. Donaven Santana scored 23 points to lead Lewiston.

Genesis Prep 46, Lakeside (ID) 41: Johnny Hillman scored 24 points and the visiting Jaguars (6-6, 2-0) beat the Knights (7-4, 1-1) on Friday. Jacob Schultz added nine points and five steals for Genesis Prep.

Wallace 66, Mullan 21: Zack Welch scored 13 points and the visiting Miners (11-0) beat the Tigers (4-7). Riley Trogden led Mullan with 11 points.
