Area roundup: Sasquatch men cruise by Hawks

Dedrick Pakootas hit six 3-pointers on his way to 22 points and Garrett White added 20 points and seven rebounds to propel the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch (13-5, 4-1 Northwest Athletic Conference) to a 96-74 victory over the Columbia Basin Hawks (4-12, 1-3) on Wednesday night.

Asher Cox scored 16 and JR Delgado pitched in with 13 points and seven rebounds as CC Spokane posted a 38-24 advantage on the boards. The Sasquatch shot 53 percent from the floor and sank 13 of 31 from beyond the arc (42 percent).

Josh Brantley led Columbia Basin with 14 points.

North Idaho 110, Wenatchee Valley 85: Alphonso Anderson totaled 33 points and 24 rebounds and the Cardinals (15-2, 4-0) breezed to a victory over the Knights (8-7, 0-4) in NWAC play in Wenatchee.

Anderson’s efforts on the boards led to a whopping 49-22 rebound advantage. Nate Pryor finished with 22 points and nine assists and RayQuan Evans scored 18 with 12 rebounds.

NIC shot 49 percent from the floor, but made just 4 of 20 from beyond the 3-point arc (20 percent).
