Reader photo: Coyote shedding

Photographer David Sams took this photo of a coyote Monday morning at Riverside State Park. The coyote is still in the process of shedding its winter coat, Sams said.

“I would be willing to bet that many bird nests in the area have a plush lining of coyote fur,” he said in a message.
