Motorcyclist hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after crash in Hillyard

Spokane police said a motorcyclist was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Monday evening after a crash involving another vehicle in Hillyard.

First responders were called to the crash at Market Street and Bismark Avenue at 7:23 p.m., Officer Richie Plunkett said in a news release. The man on the motorcycle was taken to a hospital. The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene and was interviewed by officers.

Plunkett said the investigation would take several hours, and Market Street would be closed between Central and Decatur avenues. He said anyone who witnessed the crash should call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233 and reference case No. 2019-20126252.
