Fatal crash 6 miles south of Colville shuts down highway

A fatal crash 6 miles south of Colville shut down U.S. Route 395 on Wednesday afternoon, according to Washington State Patrol.

The two-vehicle crash occurred around 2:37 p.m., killing one person and injuring three others.

The road was completely blocked and it was unknown when it would reopen as of 4:30 p.m.. An alternate route was available at that time.
