MultiCare allocates grants to local nonprofit organizations
UPDATED: Thu., July 11, 2019
MultiCare has awarded grants to 24 area nonprofit organizations through its community partnership fund to address trauma, homelessness and food insecurity in the region.
Lutheran Community Services Northwest, Catholic Charities, YWCA, Spokane Neighborhood Action Partners, HUB Sports Center, Second Harvest Inland Northwest and Salvation Army were among the recipients.
The grants were awarded through MultiCare’s Community Partnership Fund, which provides financial support for nonprofits in nine Washington and Idaho counties to enhance health and vitality in the communities.
Grants ranged from $2,500 to $25,000 and allocations were determined by a community needs assessment report by MultiCare and Priority Spokane. More than 60% of the grants will be dedicated to trauma, homelessness and food insecurity.
