The Spokane Chiefs have signed goalie Lukas Parik to a WHL Standard Player Agreement, the team announced Thursday.
Spokane selected Parik in the first round of this year’s CHL Import Draft with the 43rd overall pick. The 18-year-old goalie from Neratovice, Czech Republic, was also selected in the third round of the NHL draft by the Los Angeles Kings last month.
“We’re very excited to have Lukas sign and commit to making the jump to North America,” said Chiefs’ general manager Scott Carter in a team release.
