Spokane Valley police investigating reported shooting at apartment complex; woman suffers minor injuries

Spokane Valley police are investigating a reported shooting in a Spokane Valley parking lot.

Deputies were called Friday at about 6 a.m. to an apartment complex in the area of Carnahan Road and Sprague Avenue, where they found a woman suffering from a wound after a bullet apparently ricocheted off the ground, KHQ News reported.

Her injuries did not require medical attention.

A person of interest fled the scene, according to KHQ.

Detectives are continuing to investigate.
