The Midland Roundtable Montana-Wyoming All-Star Games wrapped up this weekend, and the Wyoming boys gave Montana a run for their money. Going into the weekend, it’s no secret, Montana had dominated this series. In the 44 years of All-Star competition, the Treasure State has 59 wins to Wyoming’s 27, including 14 straight. Wyoming players said they knew about the losing streak and were determined to be the team to end it. In Billings on Friday night Wyoming came up just short 103 to 100. Then Saturday night in Sheridan at the Golden Dome, Wyoming took Montana down to the wire, losing 95 to 94, coming back from double digit deficits multiple times. “It’s just heart like we wanted it like we just wanted to show our Wyoming fans what we’re about and coming back is how we showed them. Wyoming’s a close community I mean we became brothers within the first day and we all wanted to win and I felt like we brought out the effort to do that,” said Sheridan’s Tristan Bower. Treyton Paxton said after the game, “I had a great time this weekend it was fun to get together and play with guys that I’ve been playing against my whole high school career and I wish I had another week here honestly. It was fun to really get to know the guys and kind of create a new friend group there.”
