Spokane man dies in motorcycle crash east of Coeur d’Alene

UPDATED: Sun., June 23, 2019

A Spokane man died Saturday afternoon in a motorcycle crash on roads west of Coeur d’Alene, according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.

Kevin D. Hackworth, 44, of Spokane, was found at the bottom of an embankment near 3600 S. Greensferry Road around 4 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release.

Authorities said it appeared Hackworth lost control of the motorcycle before leaving the roadway. Responding law enforcement and medical personnel attempted to render aid, but Hackworth died at the scene, according to the news release.

Hackworth was wearing a helmet and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash, authorities said.
