Washington-Oregon preview: Huskies look to sweep Ducks

Bottom line: Washington goes for the season sweep over Oregon after winning the previous matchup in Eugene. The teams last met on Jan. 24, when the Huskies shot 55 percent from the field while holding Oregon to 46.7 percent en route to a 61-56 victory.

Stepping up: Jaylen Nowell is averaging 16.3 points and 5.5 rebounds to lead the charge for the Huskies. Noah Dickerson has paired with Nowell and is putting up 12.8 points and 6.9 rebounds per game. In the absence of leading scorer Bol Bol, Louis King has led the Ducks with 12.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Nifty Nowell: Nowell has connected on 44.4 percent of the 99 3-pointers he’s attempted and has made 7 of 12 over his last three games. He’s also made 75.5 percent of his free throws this season.

Slipping at 73: Oregon is 0-7 when it allows at least 73 points and 18-5 when it holds opponents to less than 73.

Threat from deep: Oregon’s Payton Pritchard has attempted 159 3-pointers, connecting on 32.7 percent, and is 7 for 26 over the last five games.

Did you know: The Oregon defense has allowed only 64.3 points per game to opponents, the 23rd-best mark in the country. The Washington offense has averaged 71.2 points through 30 games (ranked 204th among Division I teams).
