The Spokane Bird Dog Association is inviting hunters with pointing breeds to a training event Saturday with fly-away homer pigeons available and guidance by a professional trainer.

The training day runs 8 a.m.-noon at Dunfur Kennel near the Four Lakes exit off I-90. Veteran dog trainers Dan Hoke and Zac Klemke will assist as owners handle their own dogs. Cost: $10.
