Man accused of robbing Spokane Valley Subway linked to Chattaroy Quick Stop robbery
A man accused of robbing a Spokane Valley Subway sandwich shop has been linked to another armed robbery in February in Chattaroy.
Matthew D. Gardner, 34, is a suspect in a robbery of the Chattaroy Quick Stop, 28312 N. Newport Hwy., on February 17, according to court documents.
Gardner allegedly used a knife at the Quick Stop robbery, but no one was hurt. He is also accused of using a knife during the Subway robbery on March 1, in which no one was hurt as well.
Gardner was arrested Tuesday after a tip about his location led deputies to Pend Orielle County.
He is being held on a $150,000 bail in the Spokane County Jail.
