Wild and Scenic Film Festival lands in Spokane

Join the Spokane Riverkeeper and Mountain Gear at the Garland Theater (924 W. Garland Ave.) today for the Wild and Scenic Film Festival.

This film festival is the 5th annual screening of environmental films that feature nature’s beauty, environmental issues, heart-warming stories, and more. This year’s films highlight women and youth as leaders within the environmental movement.

Hear the Call: Salmon Nation is a film about British Columbia in the struggle to protect precious runs of salmon. The film My Mom Vala follows a female fishing guide in Greenland.

The festival will also screen two Spokane-area films, one by our partner Cutboard Studio and the other highlighting youth in the Spokane area and their efforts at protecting the area’s waters.
