Appreciate what’s good

Friends, our country is still a good place to live. Is it perfect? No of course not. Does our country have blemishes in its past? Of course. Has our country looked at the wrongs and attempted to improve? I believe we have. Is there still room for improvement? Yes, of course.

However, let’s not throw the “baby out with the bathwater.”

I think too many people don’t truly appreciate our country. Each person should take stock personally and appreciate whatever he or she has, and I believe we should look at our country the same way. Rather than always finding ways to disagree with people, let’s try to find common ground. Rather than always focusing on the negatives, let’s appreciate what’s good.

Ultimately, I see a terrible problem in our country. We are a like a house divided. How can our country be the best that it can be when people are pitted against each other? I don’t believe I have a right to destroy you if you disagree with me. Unfortunately, it seems some people think it’s their duty to destroy anyone who thinks differently. Let’s not hate!
