In 2017, Pigs on the Wing, a Portland-based Pink Floyd tribute band, focused on “The Wall.”
Last year, the band brought “The Dark Side of the Moon” to the Bing Crosby Theater.
On Saturday, Pigs on the Wing will perform “Animals” in full at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow.
On this tour, the band – Jason Baker (guitar, vocals), Holly Brooks (vocals), Bryan Fairfield (drums), Pete Galluzzo (sax), Matt Jones (keys, vocals), David Lindenbaum (guitar, vocals) and Eric Welder (bass, vocals) – will perform two sets.
The first is a performance of the 1977 album “Animals” in full. The second set will highlight some of the best of Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters-era catalog.
The concert also will feature a redesigned light show and live projection mapping.
While Pigs on the Wing plays many Pink Floyd songs note-for-note, the band does leave room for variation.
“Our goal with Pigs on the Wing has always been to provide an interpretation of Floyd that balances our appreciation and dedication to the source material with our own style and evolution from an original rock band,” Pigs on the Wing wrote on its website.
The “Animals” tour will bring the band back to the Bing on Nov. 9.
