One lane of westbound I-90 at Vantage Bridge to remain closed overnight due to tanker spill

Westbound Interstate 90 closed at the Vantage Bridge at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, after a tanker spilled a large amount of fuel in the roadway.

One lane reopened just before 4 p.m. and the other lane is to remained closed over night until a reassessment Thursday morning, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. The closure was at the west end of the bridge by the Vantage exit, according to Trooper John Bryant.

WSP said to use State Route 26 to State Route 243 as a detour.
