Westbound, eastbound I-90 partially blocked after unrelated crashes near Idaho border

Traffic on westbound I-90 near State Line ground to a halt after a commercial vehicle crash blocked all lanes Thursday afternoon, and an unrelated crash nearby partially blocked eastbound travel.

Westbound lanes 2 miles west of Post Falls were completely blocked just before 4 p.m. Drivers had to detour by exiting the interstate and re-entering at the Idaho Road on-ramp, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The detour ended after the right lane was cleared at about 4:40 p.m., but the left lane was still blocked by a semi-truck for a few more minutes, according to WSDOT.

The collision on eastbound I-90 was cleared to the shoulder at about 4:30 p.m., according to WSDOT.
