Motorcyclist dies after crashing into car in northwest Spokane

Spokane police responded to a fatal motorcycle crash in northwest Spokane just before 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The motorcycle was heading southbound on North Indian Trail Road when it struck a car turning onto the road heading north, according to a Spokane police news release. Witnesses said speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.

The motorcyclist died from their injuries, according to a news release. The driver of the car did not appear to be impaired.

North Indian Trail Road remained closed for several hours as investigators determined the cause of the crash, according to a news release.

The Spokane Medical Examiner’s Office had not released the identity of the motorcyclist or the cause of death as of 10 p.m. Tuesday.
