Spokane police arrest man suspected of kidnapping Idaho teen
A man suspected of kidnapping a teenager in Idaho was arrested in downtown Spokane on Tuesday.
Bradley D. Walters, 20, was arrested near Cup of Cool Water, an organization for homeless youth, on the 1100 block of West Second Ave.
A witness recognized Walters and called 911, according to a Spokane Police Department statement.
Walters attempted to flee from police but was taken into custody and booked into Spokane County Jail for obstructing an officer and a warrant for kidnapping with intent to commit a sexual act from Benewah County.
He is suspected in the kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl who was reported missing last week. The teen was last seen with Walters at a church in St. Maries, Idaho, that she attended with her mother.
The teen was found Tuesday by the Spokane Police Department and returned to her family.
