Lockwood is the clear choice

Much has been said about Nikki Lockwood and her opponent, Katey Treloar, both running for Spokane Public Schools Board Position 1. While both have devoted time advocating for children, the comparisons aren’t even close. Nikki Lockwood is the clear standout with her temperament, experience in advocacy, governance and policy background.

I am but one of thousands of devoted parent volunteers within SPS. I have spent years volunteering within a parent-teacher group and now serve on its board. I attend district advisory committee meetings that discuss all things occurring within SPS. I have seen what entails serving as a leader for SPS. I also know Nikki Lockwood and her opponent.

Nikki has spent close to two decades serving on school committees and community boards advocating for all students. She has board governing experience and knows the importance of building bridges across all walks of life. The many community organizations that have endorsed Nikki, such as the Spokane Education Association, Spokane Regional Labor Council and Alliance for Gun Responsibility, confirm this.

In my experience volunteering within Spokane Public Schools and knowing her temperament and thoughtful leadership style, I know Nikki Lockwood will advocate for my children and yours, while being a measured and thoughtful steward of taxpayer funds. To Nikki Lockwood, all means all.
