Mobile clinic offers free dental care

From staff reports

A mobile dental clinic will offer free services in Spokane to adults who are uninsured or have Apple Health Medicaid insurance.

The 39-foot SmileMobile dental clinic will operate Tuesday through Oct. 5 and outside the Spokane Regional Health District, 1101 W. College Ave.

An appointment is required. To make one, call (888) 286-9105 between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. That’s also the number for general questions.

SmileMobile is staffed by a dentist, clinic manager, dental assistant and local volunteer dentists. They can provide oral health education, dental exams, cleanings, fillings and simple extractions.

SmileMobile is operated by Arcora Foundation, a nonprofit organization created and funded by Delta Dental of Washington in partnership with Seattle Children’s Hospital.

The mobile dental clinic travels the state year-round providing services ranging from exams and preventive care to fillings and minor oral surgery. In the past 20 years, the service has examined and treated more than 45,000 patients throughout the state.
