Walkers emerge from pandemic caves to stretch their legs

Change of pace: On a semi-clear day the past weekend, people take walks on the trails at James T. Slavin Conservation Area to stretch their legs and bask in the sun while getting out of self-isolation for a change of pace from the state mandates to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The nature area, at 12900 S. Keeney Road near U.S. Highway 195 in the West Plains, features ponds, moderately rated trails and are ow blooming with purple and yellow wildflowers. It is open year-round.
