University of Idaho moves commencement to Aug. 1

From staff reports

The University of Idaho president announced in an email Wednesday the 2020 commencement ceremony will be on Aug. 1, according to the university student newspaper, The Argonaut.

C. Scott Green cited a survey that supported having a “simplified” event for the graduates and their families.

The ceremony will be in the Kibbie Activity Center on the Moscow, Idaho, campus.

Green also said the annual events welcoming students to the new school year will begin on campus Aug. 24.

The university is continuing to watch the impact of COVID-19 on campus and to be informed on state’s regulations to ensure the safety of everyone, Green said in the email.
