Argument leads to fatal shooting Monday near Spokane Valley

A man shot and killed another man during an argument Monday evening in a sparsely populated neighborhood near the Dishman Hills Natural Area, KHQ reported.

Spokane County sheriff’s deputies responded to the property in the 2000 block of South Park Road and detained several people for questioning, KHQ reported.

An ambulance and numerous patrol vehicles were seen crowding the street.

Authorities had not released the identity of either man involved in the shooting as of 9 p.m. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the shooter had been arrested.
