Rocking the pandemic boat with a heavy metal cruise in 2021

UPDATED: Thu., Dec. 3, 2020

It sounds like a dream vacation for heavy metal enthusiasts. Tickets go on sale today for the Monsters of Rock Cruise, slated for May 26-31, in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Legendary rocker Alice Cooper will headline a bill that also features Lit, Winger, L.A. Guns, Kix, Great White, Pat Travers and XYZ, among other headbangers at Breathless Punta Cana Resort & Spa.

Suites start at $1,999 per person (double occupancy). Bands are scheduled to perform on various stages on the beach and at pools.

However, will the shows actually go on? Music fans are starved for live entertainment, but will there be cruises less than halfway through 2021?

The endeavor seems a bit far-fetched considering the coronavirus and potential vaccine distribution, but apparently hope springs eternal in the Caribbean.
