The grifter in chief

Why is Trump spending so much energy contesting the presidential election? It’s clear he doesn’t like governing and he has no interest in fulfilling his primary role as president, which is to protect the American people. Approximately 50,000 Americans have died from COVID-19 since the election, as he ignores the pandemic and the pain and suffering average Americans are experiencing. Instead, he spends all of his time golfing or whining about losing the election, spouting unfounded lies about voter fraud and now is calling for the Supreme Court to “Overturn” the election. All of election lawsuits Trump’s “truly great defense team” has presented have been summarily rejected by state and federal courts and now by the Supreme Court.

So why does he continue trying to overturn the election if he’s just not interested in caring out presidential duties? Follow the money. Soliciting his base for election defense funds, Trump has raised over $200 million. The vast majority of those monies will go to his PAC for Trump to spend as he sees fit or to the Republican National Committee, with a tiny fraction going to his actual legal defense.

Once a grifter, always a grifter. Now he’s an AWOL grifter.
