Spokane County to hold two free PPE events for non-profits, businesses this month

Spokane area businesses and non profits will be able to pick up PPE and sanitizer at two events later this month in the county’s final protective equipment distribution event of the year.

The supplies, which are available for non-profits of any size and businesses with 249 employees or less, is leftover from larger PPE events and purchases held this summer. Those programs, which cost about $2 million, were funded with Spokane County’s $90 million allocation of federal COVID-19 aid funds said Spokane County spokesman Jared Webley.

The supplies, which include disinfectant, hand sanitizer, disposable and cloth face coverings will be available at two events this month.

The events will be held at the Spokane County Fairgrounds at 404 N Havana Street in Spokane Valley. Businesses and non-profits must register online before picking up supplies.

PPE pick events will be held on Tuesday Dec. 22 and Tuesday Dec. 29 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information businesses and non-profits can email ppeinfo@spokanecounty.org and they can register online at https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6082005/DecPPEDist.
