The westbound Interstate 90 off-ramp to Hamilton Street will be closed Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The closure comes after the Washington State Department of Transportation discovered an uneven gap between two joining pieces of asphalt on the ramp.
Crews will spend Sunday leveling the pavement to create a smoother ride.
During the closure, drivers aiming to access Hamilton Street will be detoured off I-90 one exit early, at the westbound I-90 Second Avenue off-ramp. Once exiting at Second Avenue, drivers will head west on Second Avenue before taking the on-ramp onto Hamilton.
While Hamilton itself was the subject of a significant overhaul this construction season that led to lane closures, that work has been suspended for the winter and the street is open.
