Man exposes himself to Spokane Valley girl walking to school Tuesday

Sheriff’s deputies are searching for a man driving a blue pickup who exposed himself Tuesday morning to an 11-year-old girl walking to school in Spokane Valley.

Investigators said the incident happened at about 8:40 a.m. near 26th Avenue and Glenn Road. The man called to the girl from his truck, pretending to seek help, according to reports. When the girl looked at the man, he exposed himself. The girl ran away.

A nearby resident who saw what was happening reported the exposure. The truck, described as possibly a blue Dodge with a fiberglass canopy of the same color, left the scene driving west on 26th Avenue toward University Road.

The suspect is described as a white man in his early 30s with a goatee that is possibly red. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
