A woman crashed a stolen truck into a taco shop along Division Street on Monday morning, leaving her passenger with serious injuries.

Trooper Jeff Sevigney of the Washington State Patrol said the driver failed to stop when a trooper attempted to pull her over for driving in the wrong direction.

The truck crashed into the northwest corner of Tacos El Sol at Division and Glass Avenue, toppling part of a low brick wall that surrounds a seating area in front of the building.

Both women inside the vehicle were hospitalized, and the driver was arrested on multiple felony charges, Sevigney said. No other injuries were reported.

Shortly before noon Monday, Tacos El Sol said in a Facebook post: “Due to an inconvenience, we are closed for the day. We will open back up tomorrow normal hours. Thank you!”
